Teens will also get to try out the 40-foot-tall TEAM Challenge Ropes Course which allows you to climb trees and zip line over waterways! Stay in a cabin, or camp at a remote campsite only accessible by canoe or kayak!

* This camp takes place at the Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, New York.

The following Military Teen Adventure Camps are the result of a partnership funded by the Department of Defense between the Office of Military Community and Family Policy and the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture through a grant/cooperative agreement with Purdue University.

The three Military Teen Adventure Camps are open to all military teens ages 14-18. Each camp is free and requires a $50 refundable deposit.

To prove eligibility for these camps, families must provide a copy of the front of the parent’s military ID, or a letter on official letterhead from their First Sergeant, Platoon Leader, or Company Commander stating that they are in the military.

Travel expenses, including mileage to and from camp, will be reimbursed up to $250 per camper. Meals during travel will also be reimbursed based on the GSA rates for Watertown, NY. Receipts will be required for reimbursement.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, these camps are only open to youth from the following states: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. In addition, someone authorized to pick up campers must be available at all times during their camp session(s) in the event campers exhibit COVID-19 symptoms.
