2014 Tug Hill Calendar ~ Photo Contest
We are excited to announce that our 2014 Tug Hill calendar photo contest is underway! Once again, you can help Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust with your photos.

As you know, we spend a lot of time working with landowners to protect and foster responsible stewardship practices. We also focus efforts on educating the community about the region, conservation, and the importance of working farms and forests.

And that's where you come in. Whether you live here full time, seasonally, or just visit once a year - your interest in Tug Hill Tomorrow shows us you care about the region. Take your best shots of Tug Hill so in next year's calendar, we can remind everyone of the beauty in our backyard and continue our important work!

We want photos of landscapes, plants, wildlife, working farms, people smiling at the end of a good hike, etc. Send us your best 10 and it may be featured as the photo of the week on our website and facebook page.

Proceeds from the Tug Hill calendar help land protection and community programs continue.

(If you or your business is interested in sponsoring the 2014 calendar, please email: tughilloutreach@nnymail.com with the subject line:I'm interested in sponsoring the 2014 calendar)

    The Jefferson Gala
The Jefferson Gala, an annual fundraiser for the JCC Foundation, will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 8:00 p.m.

The JCC Foundation administers 290 scholarships totaling nearly $300,000 in aid to students each year, and the donors and scholarship recipients met for the first time at the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Foundation Annual Scholars Reception held in late April. With nearly 200 scholarship donors, students, faculty and staff in attendance, the Scholars Reception provided the opportunity for contributors to see how their philanthropy is distributed and for students to speak in person to their donor while building relationships.

“The Scholars Reception" is a special opportunity for students to thank their benefactors personally, and for donors to see the fruits of their investments,” says Chrissie M. Rizzo, executive director of the JCC Foundation. “It was especially poignant this year to hear from two alumni, who sponsor a scholarship, speak publicly about how much it meant for them to receive scholarships as students, and how they now want to give back to JCC.”
